    Job Description
    Youth Foyer Operations Aide fill-in positions open at the Virginia Youth Foyer.  Fill-in shifts available as needed.  Flexible scheduling.  Responsible for the general safety, physical appearance, maintenance, and resident coordination of the AEOA Virginia Youth Foyer.  Starting wage:  $12.75/hour; 6-month wage:  $13.43/hour.  Apply by 5/26/19 at www.aeoa.org/Careers tab/View all Jobs.

     Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Monitors activities in the Virginia Youth Foyer and ensures safety/security of the residents
    • Informs the resident's Case Manager and/or property management in the event of a concern or problem
    • Performs a variety of custodial and building/grounds tasks
    • Completes a range of light building maintenance jobs
    • Maintains inventory of property and consumable supplies
    • Maintains data practices in confidence
    • Completes other building operations tasks, as assigned
       
    Qualifications:
    • Experience in general custodial and building/grounds maintenance
    • Criminal background check required
    • Regularly lifts 50 lbs. and occasionally more
     
    Needed Attributes:
    • Experience in building security not required but will be considered an additional attribute
    • Must be comfortable being located with young people with multiple and complex issues
    • Capable of working independently within a team and maintaining professional boundaries
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills needed
     
    Part-time; days, weekends, evenings; 14 hours/week
