Organization/Membership The Hibbing Area Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of the Hibbing Area business community and companies doing business in this area. The Chamber is a private, not-for-profit organization. It unites hundreds of businesses and professional firms, thus creating a "unified voice" working to improve business and build a better community. The membership is made up of over 500 businesses of all types interested in prospering and creating a healthy, positive environment in which to conduct business. Most importantly, the Chamber is people. People who realize that through the Chamber they can accomplish collectively what none of them can do individually. The strength of the Chamber lies in attracting the greatest number of members, creating a pool of resources from which ideas, energy and finances can be drawn. The Chamber functions through its members, who elect a Board of Directors, who in turn select the Program of Action for each year. All positions are voluntary except for a professional staff of four.
