Iron Range STEM Showcase brings Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math to life in Hibbing, MN! Approximately 1,800 sixth graders from over 20 northeastern Minnesota schools will experience an action-packed day Friday, October 4th, at the 2019 Iron Range STEM Showcase at the Hibbing Memorial Building. The Range Engineering Council, along with community, educational, and industry partners, will engage students with more than 80 hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities. The event is open to the public free of charge from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Two student sessions will be held Friday, October 4th, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Student attendance is by RSVP only. Range Engineering Council, a 501c3 nonprofit that supports and facilitates educational programs across the Iron Range that promote awareness and encourage participation in STEM programs, is arranging the showcase. Nearly 20 northeastern Minnesota companies and organizations are sponsoring the event.
